There are many countries represented at La Jolla Elementary and the festival is a great opportunity to celebrate different traditions, culture, and heritage of students, helping them to develop mutual respect and understanding.

During the week of the International Festival, teachers and volunteers explore customs, traditions, and culture of the children

in their class. Each class is assigned a country and each country is represented by a Country Booth.

​

Parents volunteering as Country Booth Representatives help the HOST run the Country Booths and are responsible for working

with teachers and students to create material to display on their booths.

 

Each class will also be assigned a Game Booth and parent volunteers will help run these booths.
